Finance and Investment

Simon founded Segantii Capital Management in 2007 in Hong Kong. Under his leadership, the firm grew to be recognised as one of Asia’s most prominent hedge funds.

Simon is a private investor with interests spanning industries including space, cyber insurance, quantum computing, blockchain, and medical research.

Sports

Simon became the owner and Chairman of Blackpool Football Club in 2019. A lifelong fan born and raised in Blackpool, he has invested significantly in the club and oversaw the club’s promotion to the Championship in his first full season.

He founded TBT Racing in 2023, named after his father – a Blackpool market trader known affectionately as “Ten Bob Tony”. One of his horses, Noble Champion, won the Group Three Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot in June 2025.

Community

Simon is committed to giving back. His philanthropy is rooted in a desire to support the regions and communities that have shaped him, with a particular focus on improving health, young people, and education.
