About
Simon
Sadler

Simon Sadler is a community‑driven business leader, private investor and philanthropist. Born and raised in Blackpool, he graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) before embarking on a successful career in finance.

He progressed rapidly through senior roles at major global banks. His career then took him to Hong Kong, a city that became both a home and a springboard for his ambitions. In 2007, he founded Segantii Capital Management which then grew to become one of Asia’s most prominent hedge funds.

Alongside his professional success, Simon has always stayed closely connected to both the values and the communities that shaped him. He has spent all of his adult life supporting causes that matter deeply to him with a particular focus on improving health, young people, and education. His philanthropy is grounded in a deep desire and responsibility to reinvest in the communities that have supported him along the way, wherever he has lived and worked around the world.

The commitment to community came full circle in 2019 when Simon returned to his roots, purchasing Blackpool Football Club. Some of his earliest and happiest memories are of his father taking him to Bloomfield Road as an eight-year-old boy to cheer on The Seasiders.

Before moving to Bispham, Simon lived in Marton from the ages of six to eight, just a mile from the ground, where he remembers hearing the roars from the crowd on match days.

He oversaw the club’s promotion to the Championship in his first full season. He has always viewed himself as a custodian, taking care of the club for the fans today and the generations that follow. This includes investments in players and facilities to help build something lasting for the town that raised him.

His latest venture, TBT Racing, is named in honour of his father, “Ten Bob Tony”. Created to celebrate the spirit of sport and its power to bring people together, TBT Racing has already made an impressive impact. Despite being a young racing operation, it has already celebrated notable successes, including a Group Three win at Royal Ascot in 2025.
