Simon’s latest venture, TBT Racing, marks a new chapter for him. A passionate supporter of horse racing as a sport that brings people together, Simon named the operation in honour of his father, affectionately known as “Ten Bob Tony,” whose love of the sport he inherited. Some of his fondest memories are going to the races with his father – all moments that shaped his lifelong connection to racing.
TBT Racing has already made a big impact in a short period of time, including securing a Group 3 win at Royal Ascot in 2025. Simon works in partnership with renowned trainer Ed Walker, bloodstock agent Ed Sackville, and racing and bloodstock manager Charlie Budgett.
With multiple wins and placings across listed Groups 2 and 3, and having placed at Group 1, TBT Racing is currently seeking a Group 1 winner which it hopes to achieve in the 2026 flat season. In November 2025, the UK’s Racing Post called Simon “a significant new investor in the sport, a trajectory that has been underpinned by a highly productive time on the track.”
TBT Racing currently manages 50+ horses, with the majority in training with Ed Walker. The horses are based across four UK yards as well as in France and Australia. TBT Racing has recently commenced breeding and is seeking to establish its own bloodlines. This balanced pipeline underpins a growing and promising breeding and racing programme across multiple geographies.
